Christmas

Sorry, I have not bloggged but again I was honest about not being able to blog all the time. Christmas kept me busy as well as the flu bug that we all seemed to share with each other.

Our Christmas was nice. We opened our gitfs that Santa left us under the tree and then we got ready and headed down the street to my parents. There we opened more gifts and spent some time with the family. Normally we stay for dinner at the Cadena house. However, this year we went to Walnut Creek to have dinner at Matt's grandmother's house. Oh, and yes we opened some more gifts once there. We had a really good prime rib dinner and a bunch of really good side dishes. Then the adults played the White Elephant game which was pretty fun. Matt and I ended up with a Kohls giftcard and a basket full of goodies.

We also played in th Christmas tourney that Holy Rosary holds every year. We took second last year. Sadly, we took fourth this year. I am going to blame it on not playing with our team. We did not have enough girls due to the holiday outings and had to combine our girls with another team. We had like one hour of practice and then it was game time. Oh, well it was still fun and hopefully next year we can place first.

Christmas Cards

Okay, I finally decided to do a blog. I can't promise that I'll keep up with it regularly especially since its basketball season and we Parenti's usually live in the gym this time of the year.

So, here is my first blog story. This past Sat. we decided to take our Christmas card picture that are in the mail as we speak. It was totally insane. My kids were complaining and they would not sit still. Then we had the usual fighting and crying amongst the kids. Plus, we did not know if we were going with the usual kids only in the card picture or a family picture. We actually did a family picture this year. I am surprised Matt went along with it.

However, my kids were slightly confused. I said wear some nice Christmas colors, red, green, gold, silver. Nope not my kids, they decided to rock their skull shirts. Mia even wore her black spiked bracelet. Luckily, Matt caught her in time and made her take off the black lipstick she was trying to wear. That would probably give her great grandmother, Clarice, a stroke if she saw that on her Christmas card. She nearly fainted when we dropped off the kids later on that same day and she saw Mia wearing her black spiked bracelet.

Well, here are my kids pretending that they like each other....just kidding ;)
